What this award recognizes

A lodge, camp or glamping site built and operated to minimise its footprint while offering genuine comfort in a natural setting.

01The nominee operates in, or is located within, Pakistan.
02The nominee was open to visitors or actively operating during the twelve months before nominations close.
03Information in the nomination can be independently verified.
04Any licences or registrations required for the nominee's activity are held and current.
05The site can document how it handles waste, water and energy.

Evaluation areas

Environmental design
Siting, materials, energy, water and waste systems.

Guest experience
Comfort, food and activities in keeping with the setting.

Reversibility
The ability to operate and, if needed, leave without lasting damage.

Community partnership
Land, jobs and income shared fairly with neighbours.
